Welcome to My Personal Website

I am a Senior Data Scientist at Legal and General. Previously I was a Lecturer in Mathematics at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Greenwich and a Teaching Fellow in Mathematics and Statistics at Oxford Brookes University contributing to the delivery of BSc Mathematics and MSc Data Analytics degrees. Before joining Brookes University, I worked in the insurance industry where I applied statistical programming techniques to data science projects as well as software development through RShiny apps.

My research mainly focuses on areas of algebra with applications in number theory and mathematical physics. I completed my PhD at the University of Exeter under the supervision of Prof Nigel Byott. Soon after my PhD, I held a Postdoctoral Research Associate position in Algebra and Number Theory group at the University of Edinburgh contributing to Prof Agata Smoktunowicz's ERC grant.

Here you can find information about my research and teaching.

Research Interests

My main research interests are in algebra, Galois module theory, the Yang-Baxter equation, and arithmetic geometry. For my PhD I classified all Hopf-Galois structures and skew braces of order p3: An intricate and beautiful piece of work containing mainly group theoretic calculations which has vast applications in Galois module theory of p-extensions of fields; the applications further extned to the set-theoretic solutions of the quantum Yang-Baxter equation. I also hold an interest for research in statistics, data science, and machine learning. See my Research tab for a detailed account of my work.
